Select a particular health topic that interests you for any reason (it could be a friend or relative's medical condition, for instance). Find out more about the topic using the Internet. While you are doing this, note down the main ways you'll begin looking and your process of selecting useful sites. How would you say your knowledge of the topic has changed in the course of this research? What are the criteria by which you'd select sites? Finally, briefly describe 2-3 of the most useful sites and Internet applications and the ways in which they'd be useful to people visiting them. Not more than 500 words.

for this topic i'm going to go with EDS or Ehlers-Dahnlos Syndrome. it's something that a friend of mine was born with.
the main ways that i'll be getting more information from the web is the use of google-fu. and no, i'm not actually going to put it that way in my assignment. this is the note-taking and link collecting phase.
i initially couldn't remember how to spell the name of the condition, but i sounded it out and google gave me lots of answers for it.
the first site i picked is a site for/by rheumatologists. http://rheumatology.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/collection/mobile_joint_syndrome
interestingly, it was third on the list when i searched "dahnlos", but isn't on the first page of a search under "ehlers danlos".
http://edsaus.ning.com/ is a support group site, which i feel is important.

this needs to be a short (500 words) essay thing. can i do this?
